While the second version of the Arts Club shuffled and disordered Mies’ strategies, this third version works from within them toward a purity without irony. Against the previous convolutions, the current project buys into Miesian thinking about clarity as an aesthetic and reduction as an exploratory tool. In this spirit, the third Arts Club is based on an (almost) uninflected structural grid inhabited by an elegant functional diagram.
